The European Union Exists at the Right Time in History
How do we know that the European Union is the end-times Roman Empire? One big reason is that it exists at the right time in history, alongside end-time Israel.
The Antichrist is the last leader of the Roman Empire. He is ultimately defeated by God at the Second Coming of Christ. The Antichrist makes a deal with Israel, but later breaks it.
And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator. (Daniel 9:27)
This is also discussed in Isaiah 28, where the leaders of Israel make a "covenant with death." They think it will protect them, but the covenant is a lie.
Furthermore, Daniel 11:41 says that the Antichrist invades Israel in the end-times.
He shall come into the glorious land. And tens of thousands shall fall, but these shall be delivered out of his hand: Edom and Moab and the main part of the Ammonites. (Daniel 11:41)
The Bible talks about the regathering of the Jews to the land of Israel in the end-times. Ezekiel 38-39 describes how in “latter years” the Jews will be regathered from the nations to the “mountains of Israel.” A powerful military alliance, led by northern country, launches a surprise attack against them. Referring to the attackers, God says:
After many days you will be mustered. In the latter years you will go against the land that is restored from war, the land whose people were gathered from many peoples upon the mountains of Israel, which had been a continual waste. Its people were brought out from the peoples and now dwell securely, all of them. You will advance, coming on like a storm. You will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your hordes, and many peoples with you. (Ezekiel 38:8-9)
This invasion enrages God, who supernaturally destroys the attackers.
But on that day, the day that Gog shall come against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, my wrath will be roused in my anger. For in my jealousy and in my blazing wrath I declare, On that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea and the birds of the heavens and the beasts of the field and all creeping things that creep on the ground, and all the people who are on the face of the earth, shall quake at my presence. And the mountains shall be thrown down, and the cliffs shall fall, and every wall shall tumble to the ground. I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Lord God. Every man's sword will be against his brother. With pestilence and bloodshed I will enter into judgment with him, and I will rain upon him and his hordes and the many peoples who are with him torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur. So I will show my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 38:18-23)
Therefore, the end-times Roman Empire and end-times Israel are contemporaries during the end-times.
This timeline shows shows the relatively brief length of time that Israel has existed, compared to the time of exile. This puts things in perspective, showing us that we are already close to the end times.
This is strong evidence that the European Union is the end-times Roman Empire, since it exists alongside end-times Israel.
